Crop Marketing Specialist (1805612) – Florida or California

Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to translate the crop long term strategy into a Crop marketing plan to achieve the projected sales and profitability in the selected countries/regions. In this role, you will ensure in-depth understanding of the end-customer needs and market trends in the crop served and development of strong value propositions for the segments selected. You will collaborate with the regional M&S teams to implement best in class marketing practices that support our customers. Additionally, you will manage and support key marketing processes within the crop tactical team: marketing planning, lifecycle management, pricing, budgeting, etc.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Create and drive the implementation of the yearly 3-year marketing plan , closely collaborating with the local teams to transform the marketing plan into an annual marketing and sales action plan covering the “5 P’s” (Product/price/promotion/Placement/People)

  • Propose the marketing budget , together with the Head of the Crop Group. Manage the budget considering the changing economic & commercial context and evolving requirements or guidelines;

  • Ensure the voice of customer is heard: In collaboration with M&CI and the local teams, create proper understanding of the needs of all stakeholders and their impact within the complete value chain

  • Develop market intelligence for the crop, including market sizing and trends, signaling opportunities and customer needs through analysis and research;

  • In collaboration with the Global product specialist, manage the entire crop assortment to be aligned with the long-term strategy while assuring portfolio optimization

  • Propose a compelling value proposition (eg: Introduction/repositioning/exclusivities/long term agreement) for all varieties, collaborating with the local teams to maximize the profitability of the entire assortment

  • Launch new crop concepts, defining for each concept the best project team and assigning roles and responsibilities to achieve the desired outcome.

  • Develop the crop branding strategy and communication objectives, collaborating closely with the communications team to ensure proper implementation at regional level.


  • Has minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing: understanding of key marketing processes; experience with market research and creating market intelligence; project/product management experience; experience in Business development.

  • Has keen interest in agriculture and global marketing

  • Possesses a high level of knowledge of ICT tools, specifically MS Office suite.

  • Orientation toward both top and bottom line;

  • Ability to think out of the box;

  • A strategic mindset combined with execution skills;

  • Exceptional networking and influencing skills.

  • Passion for travelling and collaborating with different cultures/personalities. Travel required around 30%

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
