Contract Administrator and Customer Care Specialist (1901479)– Amherst, NY

Where the ChemistryHappens

This position confers with customers to negotiate terms and execute Purchase Orders/Sub-Contracts. It will also be responsible for entering, managing and fulfilling engineered to order purchases while upholding a high standard of customer service.

Formula forSuccess

  • Prior experience in ContractAdministration/negotiation of Terms and Conditions within the Constructionindustry

  • Proficient in the use of personal computer,including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software

  • Strong and assertive communication skills withthe ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels inside andoutside the organization

  • Must possess a high degree of organization

  • Must be self-motivated and results-oriented andcomfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • A high degree of interpersonal versatility isneeded and is supported by an outgoing, assertive and friendly demeanor whichenables person to build positive relationships with internal clients and theexternal customers.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop amendments for mutually agreeable Termsand Conditions

  • Review detail of incoming purchase orders forconformance to quotation or price list and resolve discrepancies or lack ofinformation.

  • Enter approved purchase order into the computersystem.

  • Monitor and expedite shop drawing approvals.

  • Field incoming order inquiry calls.

  • Process any change orders and order updates oncomputer system.

  • Provide product lead time and availability.

  • Make contractors aware of ship date.

  • Invoicing.

  • Need to have a thorough understanding of companyand its mission

  • Completing all tasks as delegated by thesupervising authority.

  • Support and adhere to all environmental, healthand safety rules and regulations as described in the Environmental Health andSafety Rules and Regulations Employee Handbook as well as WBA specific safetyguidelines and procedures. Make “safety”a way of life and always a part of your individual actions.

  • Complete all work in conformance with Companyand Department ISO 9001-2000 and 14001 policies, procedures, and workinstructions.

  • Must be able to relate job performance to ISOobjectives.

  • Insures safety is the main priority withindepartment and company.
