Process Technician - 2000878– Appleton, WI

Where the Chemistry Happens

The role of the Process Technician is to provide the labor and expertise to safely manufacture quality chemical products while embracing a zero loss of containment mindset. This includes receiving and handling raw materials, producing chemical products with the aid of manufacturing systems, performing quality assurance tests, and shipping and receiving tasks. The position also involves providing support to the senior maintenance lead and assisting in area preventative maintenance.

Formula for Success

  • Performs daily / weekly / monthly safety walkthrough and housekeeping inspections.

  • Displays active ownership of a portion of the site safety program & facilitates safety improvements.

  • Supports Safe Work Permitting practices to ensure the safety of all working in production areas.

  • Maintains order and cleanliness of production work areas.

  • The use of computer-based systems to generate production instructions, to report production and receive and ship materials.

  • Supports QC function by performing in process testing on products

  • The receipt and shipment of bulk raw materials and finished products including loading and unloading operations.

  • Packages finished products into totes and drums

  • Performs batch reconciliation for raw materials used to create a batch of finished product.

  • Uses forklifts to bring materials to and take materials away from the production area.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment

  • Chemical manufacturing or handling experience

  • Batch production experience

  • SAP or other enterprise management system experience

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Experience with the use of automated process systems i.e. DCS / PLC
