What you can expect
As a Product Safety Executive Specialist you are part of our team in the unit Product Safety Services for EMEA, which ensures, that sales & marketing of our chemical products comply with BASF requirements within South-West Europe.
Your expertise is on demand: As a Point of Contact for all questions in the area of product safety, you provide information to our customers and support the local sales teams.
Apart from that, you give advice on regulatory topics such as sensitive applications and REACH.
You notify products to national inventories like nanomaterials and manage information related to safety data sheets.
As part of the emergency response team, you prepare professional training material and organize related training.
Furthermore, you must be prepared to cover for colleagues in the team when needed, just as the responsibilities within these positions may be adjusted due to changes in legislation.
What we expect
degree in Chemistry or several years of professional experience within the chemistry area as well as at least 3 years of practical experience in product safety and regulatory affairs
fluent communication skills in French and English, German skills are a plus
profound user knowledge in MS Office and (SAP) databases
distinctive communication skills, ability to work in a team as well as a strong customer-orientation
strong analytical skills as well as a very good organizational ability and independent working methods
willingness to travel
