Site Controller (1900899) – Bishop, TX
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to serve as Finance Business Analyst for the Nutrition & Health (EN) and Chemical Intermediates (CI) Business Units. In this role, you will be a key developing member of the Finance team. You will provide site controlling support to the Bishop, Texas site (as well as other support to the EN and CI businesses), including monthly closing and reporting at the site, participation on the Site Leadership team, operational planning and other support as needed. Analysis work can be operational or strategic in nature, supporting business needs including Sales, Marketing, Logistics and/or Manufacturing. This role will be a great opportunity to exercise your ability to engage, operate and influence different cultures and styles and manage ambiguity while balancing “dual citizenship” (Finance and the business). You will also develop negotiation, influence and conflict management skills (including reaching out and engaging appropriate expertise) and think innovatively to bring marketable ideas and solutions to the team.
This role requires mobility to support operations of other sites in the future. This position is intended to build knowledge and expertise in site controlling with the goal to further promote to positions of greater responsibility.
Formula for Success
Demonstrating your business and financial acumen, as well as your strong sense of accountability and ability to communicate and influence others without position authority, you will be a key member of the team to support all aspects of relationship management, communications and support of the respective business teams as it relates to the Bishop manufacturing site.
Leveraging your education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline combined with your experience in Finance, Controlling, Manufacturing, or a related field, you will be responsible for monthly closing and reporting for the Bishop site, including cost reporting to Site Leadership and support with the operational plan and forecasting each month.
Using your knowledge of or ability to quickly comprehend global financial and supply chain systems, you will oversee and maintain rates and inventory controls/monitoring.
Your knowledge of or ability to quickly comprehend core financial processes and practices e.g., Management accounting, Cost accounting, SAP, and other technical requirements (inclusive of relevant statutory requirements) and your robust analytical ability will be essential as you assist the Finance Business Managers and support ad hoc business analysis as needed.
Your previous experience with SAP for transactions and analysis will be essential to be successful in this role.
