Where the Chemistry Happens…

  • As required the incumbent is responsible for Shipping & Receiving Processes at the Blackie Warehouse. (Product verification, Consignor & Consignee applicable labeling, TDG and WHMIS documentation and labeling, SDS’s, etc.)

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Operate a forklift truck to move merchandise, load & unload carriers, repack and re-label products, to meet internal & external customer needs and requirements.

  • Provide necessary professional skills and expertise to allow for the most efficient Material Handling and Storage at the Blackie Warehouse and Site.

  • Assist with various tasks around package preparation, labeling and filling.

  • Observe, internalizes and practices safety at all times.

  • Prepares scheduled shipments by priority after they have been released from Shipments Queue for delivery to BASF Canada customers. Physically prepares and checks merchandise for daily scheduled shipments.

  • Completes required Quality checks.This includes verification of C of A receipt and checking to ensure that special requirements have been met.

  • Stage, label and fill material into totes/drums as required.Operates a forklift truck to move merchandise, load carriers, repack / re-palletize products to meet all customer requirements.

  • Observes and practices safety at all times; through training and experiences, observes safety rules shows knowledgeable respect in handling dangerous goods, and all other products.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • A High School diploma is required. Two years of experience with shipping, receiving, or warehouse management system duties is preferred

  • Thorough knowledge of Shipping & Receiving and other relevant Physical Distribution procedures.

  • Must be accurate and time sensitive, both elements are integral requirements in this environment.

  • Must be a team player with good communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a stressful and pressured environment in order to meet high customer demands and expectations.

  • Must be trained / certified in Forklift Truck operations. When operating forklift truck, must be alert and use caution as others are working in area.

  • TDG (Clear Language Regulations) & WHMIS Training
