Leave of Absence Counselor (1803470) - Florham Park, NJ

Principal Responsibilities of the Leave of Absence Counselor:

  • Provide exemplary customer service to employees, supervisors, HR and other stakeholders

  • Intake and documentation of all leaves (telephonic or system reported) in the Case Management System. Ensure system triggers, notifications, communications and diaries are documented.

  • Determine eligibility and appropriate benefits.

  • Utilize clinical duration management tool and refer for clinical review as appropriate.

  • Timely and accurate notification to the Data Mgmt or Payroll when manual intervention is required (not passed on nightly interface file).

  • Facilitate return to work with employee, site medical contact, supervisor and HR.

  • Review updated communications as needed.

  • Coordinate Disability Retirements for union populations.

  • Summarize cases for Appeals.

  • Manage special projects as assigned
