Marketing Manager – Face Care (North America) (1900505) – Florham Park, NJ

At BASF we are seeking a professional like you with a strong blend of strategic marketing and technical expertise to lead, execute and implement marketing initiatives for our Face Care market segment (Bioactives and Skin Care – leave on) in North America. Our Face Care experts create innovative ingredients and concepts for products that perform on skin and deliver appealing user experiences. With proven formulation expertise and an unsurpassed capacity to create sensory profiles, we address consumers’ innermost needs.

Demonstrating your global experience, you will focus specifically on developing and driving market insights, new product commercialization and product positioning, value communication and promotions, building innovation pipelines, and customer marketing activities to generate pipelines. Managing and developing deep relationships with key stakeholders and cross functional team members, you will collaborate with marketing and technical resources to support and articulate capabilities, enlist support to provide understanding of customer needs and requirements, and proactively manage marketing developments. This role will require a domestic (international travel based on specific business needs) travel up to 20%.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your combined education and professional experience in Marketing, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and your technical knowledge of Bioactives (e.g. Face Care, Skin Care) you will be responsible to lead and execute marketing initiatives to include strategic and tactical planning, organization, implementation and management of marketing activities that generate new prospect leads, advance existing opportunities and support customer retention; develop short and long term strategic marketing plans, including multi-touch, multi-dimensional programs with both inbound and outbound tactics to achieve revenue targets.

  • Utilizing your marketing segment knowledge and technical expertise, you will develop a deep understanding of BASF’s Face Care market segment including trends, consumer preferences driving growth, customer needs and competitive dynamics; identify sources of differentiation for customer segments and develop solutions for customers; and develop purposeful positioning of Care Creation® brand in market with current portfolio.

  • Successfully engaging across the organization and demonstrating your exceptional business acumen will be vital as you collaborate and interface with cross functional teams (Sales, Technology, Product Management, and Global counterparts) to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of marketing activities and adapt to changing and competing priorities based on business needs.

  • Utilizing your robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, you will successfully develop and implement creative solutions to complex problems and measure performance.
