Dispersions Production Execution Manager – Freeport, Texas

Where the Chemistry Happens

Responsible for the successful leadership and direction of the daily operations of the Freeport Dispersions Unit and the Polyacrylamide Pilot Plant. Emphasis is placed on ensuring that all personnel working within their assigned area comply with safety, health, environmental, and production standards while operating within budget guidelines to achieve the overall objectives.

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Freeport Dispersions Production Execution Manager

Formula for Success

  • BS Degree in Engineering or another technical discipline and 7 years of manufacturing experience or a High School Diploma and 12 years of manufacturing experience required.

  • A minimum of five years of leading teams in a chemical/petrochemical or other similar manufacturing environment required

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires ability to direct and motivate people.

  • Requires good communications and personal skills.

  • Requires knowledge of safety practices and techniques relating to the chemical industry.

  • Preferred in-depth knowledge of synthetic latex production.

  • Requires practical experience in plant troubleshooting.

  • Requires practical experience in process control, field equipment and DCS Control Systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the leadership, development, succession planning/knowledge transfer, and performance management of the Shift Supervisors, Technicians, Day Tech and L&D Coordinator (Direct supervision of 4 shift supervisors, 1 L&D, 2 Day Techs. Indirect supervision of 16 technicians)

  • Responsible for setting a culture such that each person feels Valued, Connected and Respected.

  • Assist with establishing plant goals and operational budgets to assure continuous improvement for Dispersions and PAM

  • Responsible for driving EHS and LEAN continuous improvement

  • Responsible for the maintenance, preventive maintenance, small improvements, and cleaning of the Dispersions unit such that the plant is reliable

  • Responsible for keeping production operating expenses within the budget.
