Process Analytical Engineer – North American Region – Technical Expertise (1803314)
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to lead Process Analytical and Quality improvements in order to maximize profitability as part of Strategic Production. You will develop, analyze and provide expert guidance on relevant Process Analytical Applications including expert recommendations of moving lab analysis to field, Key Performance Indicators, process analytical technology strategies and process analytical reliability improvements. You will also provide leadership to the other Technical Expertise Process Analyzer Engineers, as well as the North American Process Analyzer Network (NATN) including distribution of workloads, technology analysis and recommendations, and resource coordination for new investments, maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementation. You will also:
Define, engineer and implement new Process Analyzer applications, which will include developing the justification for various stakeholders with identification of value add.
Provide Process Analytical Expertise to the region on all process analyzer technologies across the North American region.
Actively work and lead regional and global process analyzer teams to provide evaluations of new analytical technologies, assistance to the process analyzer community globally on applications, and build continuous improvement into the process analytical discipline.
Provide leadership on project teams, which will include assisting with developing project approval packages, participate in approval review meetings, developing design packages for suppliers, and perform suitable contract selection.
Proactively optimize current inline process analyzers at sites across the North American region, and provide guidance to plant personnel on maintaining the analytical equipment.
Lead network of process analytical experts to assist in troubleshooting active process analyzer installations to assure manufacturing of reliable and stable analytical measures.
Identify and develop cost/benefit analysis for potential new projects / installations in the area of process analyzer technology.
Ensure compliance of all installed and selected process analyzer technologies across the North American region are following all internal and external rules and regulations. In the event that a non-compliance issue exists, work with respective site teams to resolve and bring to compliance.
Actively work on Global Procurement Verbund Team for Process Analytics in the revalidation of approved suppliers, the testing and validation of new process analytical technologies, and the approval of 3 rd party maintenance and support companies.
Integration / divestiture support through risk assessments, Analyzer connectivity reviews, and coordination with IT department to assure Analyzer connectivity protection.

Leveraging your educational background in an Engineering discipline, as well as your extensive professional experience within a chemical/petrochemical and/or manufacturing environment, you will identify improvement opportunities and propose and implement sustainable solutions for lab and field process analytical equipment and assets.
Your ability to develop and implement work processes to improve process analytical asset reliability, sustainability, accuracy, and maintenance cost will allow you to provide manufacturing with key performance indicators in the area of product quality to maximize profitability.
Your strategic thinking to develop long term process analytical improvement processes and translate them to a yearly roadmap will ensure that you can maintain and improve analytical reliability and asset availability for manufacturing.
Your understanding of best industry practices regarding maintenance and reliability activities and work process will allow you to lead process analytical improvements through identification of poor technology placement and poor reliability.
With accountability with global teams, your expert knowledge of lab and process analytical technology will allow you to provide our manufacturing partners with sustainable product quality through effective utilization of process analyzers.
Your strong communications skills will be a valued asset as you provide facts and figures to collaborate and negotiate with Engineers, Maintenance and Operations Personnel to provide design review, repair and maintenance support, including optimization of assets and process measures.
