Where the Chemistry Happens…

Maintenance Technician – Greenville, OH (2101529)

Provide technical support for BASF Greenville site by performing technical duties throughout the facility to ensure safe and reliable equipment, installations and buildings. Provide expertise and training on areas of maintenance activities. Gives support in areas outside of normal duties as needed, ie: Project Management, third party contractors. Give support to the site by the installation of new equipment by following the QHSE guidelines and all policies. Give first line technical support by failures or breakdowns. Work together with production employees for technical innovative solutions.

Principal Responsibilities:

Planned maintenance

Optimize equipment

Operational checks equipment (law regulation)

First level of support for the technical equipment

Storage spare parts

Installation and startup new equipment

Utilization of maintenance program including updating procedures and equipment list

High level of knowledge related to maintenance activities – Subject Matter Expert

Management of change process

Success Factors:

Ability to train others on areas of expertise

Provide technical services to site

Equipment effects minimal failure/downtime

EHS requirements


Work independently with minimal supervision

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum of (5) years of industrial maintenance experience within the chemical industry

Ability to read and update drawings, specifications and P&IDs

Proficient in use of computers: (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

Overall excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of SAP data entry used for notification and history process (plus)

Experience using the following equipment, Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lifts.
