Where the Chemistry Happens…

Our Certified Seed Production Team is looking for positive and energetic Associate Honey Bee Inspector to join its team for the summer 2019 term starting in June to August . Application Deadline : November 18, 2018.

As an Associate Honey Bee Inspector , you are required to travel within your assigned region and manage your schedule to ensure completion of individual and team goals.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Assist the lead Hive inspector

  • Assess overall Hive Health and Quality

  • Confirm hive numbers used in pollination of hybrid seed

  • Assist other areas of the hybrid production team in Lethbridge with seasonal requirements of seed production

  • Involved in required aspects of seed production from Flowering to Harvest including:

  • Monitoring the health of the crop as it matures

  • Scout fields for weed, disease, and insect pressure

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Agronomic knowledge attained through pursuing your degree in Agriculture or through another college coupled with experience in the Agriculture industry.

Attention : this role requires direct contact with honeybees. PPE will be Supplied
