Where the Chemistry Happens…Formula for Success: You Will…
As a Seed Production Research Technician , you will join our Seed Production Research team in southern Alberta where you will be involved in agronomy research trials for our local and global seed production programs. The main goal is maximizing seed production yield and quality. You will be working with a group of professional researchers and assistants on field activities related to
agronomy trials from seeding to harvest including seed set up, land preparation, seeding, pest control, quality control, pollination management, plot maintenance, harvesting and supervision of casual employees as required. You will also be heavily involved in activities that will focus on the operation and maintenance of farm equipment through the entire crop season, data collection and seed sample processing.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Strong experience in operating and transporting farm equipment is required
Strong experience in preventive maintenance of farm equipment is required
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise minimizing impact on results
Interest in canola development
Ability to work within a dynamic environment and multiple people
Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals
