What you can expect
In our Global Ecotoxicology unit, you will work in a multidisciplinary team and supervise studies with a focus on aquatic organisms from an ecological and ecotoxicological point of view.
You will direct and evaluate ecotoxicological studies in aquatic ecosystems following international guidelines and up-to-date scientific standards.
Based on the results, you will generate risk assessments for BASF products (crop protection products and biocides).
In addition, you will be involved in the development of innovative solutions, assume project responsibility and communicate results to national and international governmental authorities as well as to the scientific community.
What we expect
Degree in biology (ecotoxicology, limnology or ecology) or toxicology or in a related field, preferably with PhD
Ideally, experience in aquatic ecotoxicology and some background on assessing the effects of endocrine disrupting compounds
Thorough understanding of ecological and ecotoxicological processes and steering of global projects
Fluent English language skills and experience with standard IT solutions
Beyond this, a team player with highly developed presentation skills and excellent communication ability
