What you can expect

In our unit Global Ecotoxicology, you will work in a multidisciplinary team and supervise ecological and ecotoxicological studies on terrestrial organisms (birds, mammals).

  • In this context, you will develop new experimental approaches for laboratory or field studies and ensure that they meet the highest scientific and regulatory standards.

  • You will also contribute to the data analysis as well as in the evaluation and interpretation of the study results and use them as source for conducting risk assessments for crop protection products.

  • You will develop innovative experimental and theoretical approaches to bring practical solutions to environmental risk assessment issues.

  • You will have good communication and social skills to communicate the results of studies and risk assessments to a wide range of stakeholders.

  • You will be responsible for managing individual projects as part of multidisciplinary teams working with different collaborators.

What we expect

  • Degree in biology or environmental sciences or in a related field, preferably a PhD

  • Ideally, experience and expertise in the field of birds and/or mammals, ornithology or toxicology

  • Thorough understanding of ecological and ecotoxicological processes

  • Fluent English and good German language skills

  • Beyond this, a team player with highly developed presentation skills and excellent communication ability
