What you can expect

The team Advanced Business Analytics co-creates and delivers innovative data-driven solutions for better business decisions through mathematical modeling (operations research, statistical analysis, and data science), the development of sustainable programs, as well as IT solutions (process and visualization of results and "Big Data").

  • As a member of a leading edge team of experts you will be responsible for managing Advanced Business Analytics services globally.

  • As a Business & Data Analytics Manager you will ensure reliable service operations within our system landscape and establish and implement ITIL processes for changes, incidents and problems.

  • You will manage service adjustments smoothly in case of software and solution updates as well as the expectations of business partners for running, maintaining and reviewing Advanced Analytics services at BASF.

  • You will set up concepts for global ABA services including external parties, support the solution life cycle management and you will play an active role in managing the demand.

  • Furthermore, you will be a mentor and coach for other team members and support their functions by providing expertise and insights into BASF's organization and projects.

What we expect

  • You hold an above average Bachelor's degree in (Industrial) Engineering, Economics, Business Management or Information Systems / Computer Science with focus on quantitative analytics and statistics.

  • You have at least five years of experience in business and data analytics service operations in an industrial context and three years of experience in project management with a proven track record of relevant projects.

  • You are able to manage multiple conflicting priorities, meet deadlines, exercise professional judgment in a constructive manner and deliver high quality results within required timeframes in a complex and dynamic environment.

  • You have previous service operations management experience and a sound understanding of the technologies and analytics we utilize in our solutions, e.g. SAP HANA, SAP Business Warehouses, Tableau, R Server.

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and build sustainable internal and external business relationships.

  • Due to the interdisciplinary set-up of our team, skills and a talent for getting the best out of teams through collaboration are mandatory.
