What you can expect

As a team member of a respective group in our unit Digitalization of R&D, you will drive digitalization of R&D units.

  • You will analyze workstreams in the R&D unit and derive requirements for a data management system as well as consider the automation of steps in the workflow.

  • You will contribute to developing a data management system that focuses on the collection, structure/format, validation and reporting of R&D data.

  • You will implement the selected data management plan, roll it out globally and maintain as well as adapt it to newly arising requirements.

  • You will coordinate and communicate digital R&D activities in coordination with the digital units and the using units.

  • Furthermore, you will develop digital data analysis tools to run data analyses in collaboration with BASF´s IT functions, programmers, database administrators and R&D units to meet specifications of the data management plan.

What we expect

  • You have successfully completed your studies with a master degree in a technical subject or in informatics.

  • You are familiar with workflows in research and development labs and you have a strong focus on databases, database concepts as well as IT infrastructure.

  • You have experience in use and application of data management software, databases and related programming skills.

  • Furthermore, you are a creative and motivated team player with strong communication and presentation skills in English.
