What you can expect
As Data Scientist in Big Data Technologies (m/f) in our Advanced Business Analytics - IT Solution unit you will take over the coordination, management and execution of complex projects within the regional as well as global scope.
You will take on the responsibility to initiate and manage innovation projects with the goal to develop interdisciplinary solutions using the latest methods and technologies.
You will be responsible for projects in this field closely co-operating with business units and central functions.
In this context, you will communicate the ideas and solutions in the field of data science and operations research to a broad community with different professional backgrounds and will be a driving force in interdisciplinary project teams.
Furthermore, you will collaborate with research groups in that domain evaluating new approaches and exploring new application opportunities.
What we expect
You hold an outstanding Master's degree in Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics or in a comparable field with a strong quantitative focus.
You have gained several years of professional experience in Data Science as well as a minimum of three years of experience with SAP applications and Analytics such as SAP HANA, with data warehousing, data management and Big Data technologies.
Ideally, you have gained deep understanding of Hadoop (e.g., HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Yarn, Flume, Storm) and you are familiar with combining and transforming data from heterogeneous sources.
Furthermore, you are comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams and you are a creative and motivated team player with a strong consultancy mindset.
Moreover, you convince your audience by your presentation skills in English and ideally in German.
