What you can expect
You will lead and develop the global unit "Advanced Business Analytics - Optimization".
Therefore, you will define the strategic path for BASF in the field of optimization methods and its applications.
You will drive global innovative initiatives to explore, create and deliver Advanced Business Analytics solutions across all fields of business, like Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Production, of BASF group.
In the rapidly developing and broadening area of operations research you will identify future key trends.
You will ensure proactive positioning of BASF as leading-edge in that future oriented field of optimization methods by leveraging research with leading universities, institutes and partners.
What we expect
You have earned a PhD in Mathematics, Operations Research or an equivalent discipline with a focus on quantitative methods.
You have gained hands-on-experience in mathematical modeling and optimization for different application areas.
In your previous positions, you have gained excellent skills and experience in leadership and people development in a global matrix organization.
You have a proven track record of leading projects to success within a global environment.
Strong strategic thinking and the capability to identify future innovative opportunity fields and understanding future business needs as well as excellent communication skills in English and German complete your profile.
