The global engineering services division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.
What you can expect
Our Construction Management Large Capital Projects unit is responsible for the assembly of chemical plants at the Ludwigshafen site and, if necessary, worldwide.
You manage and design the development of 3D-supported scaffolding planning in large-scale projects.
You understand your task in advance of work processes and site conditions and are able to virtually represent these processes & assembly procedures with suitable software.
As Engineer Construction Support Services you are the direct contact person for internal specialist departments and external service providers in the field of the consistent linking of digital planning tools in plant construction.
You succeed in communicating the advantages of digitalized project planning to project teams and you contribute significantly to the creation of new standards in the implementation of an assembly concept.
You will prepare and assess performance specifications for the trades insulation, corrosion protection and scaffolding.
Last but not least, you will support and coordinate the tendering process for the relevant trades and ensure that costs and deadlines are met, taking into account safety, health and environmental protection (SGU).
What we expect
Degree in civil engineering or a comparable qualification
At least 3 years of professional experience and project experience, especially construction site experience
Knowledge of the assembly auxiliary trades scaffolding, insulation and corrosion protection
Know-how in 3D planning software for plant construction, scheduling software MS Projekt, Primavera and in scaffolding
Knowledge of SHE management
Strong communication skills in German and English
Leadership skills, determination and the ability to work in a team to achieve joint success
