The Global Engineering Services Division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.
What you can expect
Our Instrumentation Technology unit develops new technologies, offers proven standard solutions and provides expertise as a basis for process optimization for the BASF Group.
You will be responsible for consulting and service for the Golden Island project with regard to measurement principles and their possible applications.
Your expertise is in demand! Together with the engineering team you will select critical field devices in the process.
In addition, you check the project requirements for plausibility, determine the optimal procurement path and initiate it.
As the contact person for customers and suppliers, you support the smooth processing and provide technical advice on the design of measuring and control devices.
You monitor the project progress of the instrumentation and escalate in case of deviations.
Within the scope of standardization, you will work with the relevant working teams of the technical community.
What we expect
completed engineering studies, e.g. in automation technology, process engineering or a comparable field of study
experience in project management including the implementation of risk analyses or HAZOP studies
deep knowledge of the structure and function of field devices and of PCT field devices in the control loop
basic knowledge in handling IT systems
effective communication in German and English
willingness to travel
