In the Performance Materials Division, we develop innovative plastics and foams for all kinds of applications. Whether it is for cars, buildings or sports goods - we always look for the ideal material solution. To do this, we work closely with our customers: from production and logistics to research and sales, all the way to processing characterization, component testing and simulation.

What you can expect

In the Performance Materials Processing unit, we work on technologies for the production and processing of polymeric compounds with novel properties.

  • As Engineer Plastics Processing Technology you will be responsible for the further processing of our thermoplastics in injection molding and extrusion as soon as possible.

  • Your expertise is in demand: You plan and supervise processing trials and interpret test and work results.

  • Set new standards: You will further develop our processing methods and testing techniques and drive their automation.

  • You will work on research and development projects in interdisciplinary teams.

  • You will coordinate pilot plant operations and work on investment projects.

  • Lastly you will be in close contact with relevant R&D institutions as well as key players in the business units.

What we expect

  • degree in plastics technology or engineering sciences such as mechanical engineering, process engineering or chemical engineering, preferably with a doctorate degree

  • ability to contribute innovatively to problem solutions

  • analytical know-how, structured and systematic way of working as well as a high degree of determination

  • knowledge of measurement data acquisition, signal processing and preparation, experience in digital solutions and automation technology in a technical environment preferred

  • ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills in German and English language

  • project and presentation management skills
