The Global Engineering Services Division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.
What you can expect
The Design Mechanical Engineering group is responsible for the project planning and execution of machines and units in the global plant engineering division of BASF SE. The focus is on the entire value chain from preliminary planning to commissioning of plant components.
You will be responsible for the planning, project management and execution of global investment projects in the field of solids technology.
Likewise, you will accompany design tests of the machines and units.
Furthermore, you will monitor production and quality.
You will coordinate installation and commissioning activities on site.
In addition, you will advise customers from production and technology units at locations worldwide.
You will analyze optimization potentials in cooperation with our customers.
What we expect
Completed studies (M.Sc.) in process engineering or chemical engineering with a focus on mechanical process engineering / solids technology
Ideally, supplemented by a PhD in solids engineering
Several years of professional experience in engineering, chemical production or technology
Experience in the design and calculation of processes in solids process engineering
Knowledge in project planning of machines and units in the field of solids process technology
Very good knowledge of English and willingness to travel on business trips
Determination and performance orientation for familiarization with conceptual tasks
Communication and empathy skills to work in interdisciplinary teams
