What you can expect

We are looking for a candidate to join our Experimental Ecotoxicology team within the Ecology unit to assist us with performing aquatic and terrestrial studies.

  • You will be responsible for planning acute and chronic studies in aquatic and terrestrial systems.

  • In compliance with applicable GLP and ISO standards, you will work together with other employees of the lab to perform, evaluate and interpret studies and will present your results to the customer.

  • You will also be responsible for coordinating the cooperation with external service providers and for managing your employees in subject-specific terms.

  • In addition, you will be responsible for the costs of the working field and for the quality, cost-effectiveness and documentation of the services provided.

  • You will actively represent BASF in internal and external panels of experts and at subject-specific meetings and conferences.

  • In addition, you will participate actively in internal and external research projects and advance them through your creative and innovative approaches.

What we expect

  • You have earned a PhD or an equivalent qualification in ecotoxicology, biology or a comparable discipline.

  • In addition, you have already been able to amass initial experience in experimental testing of chemicals in aquatic and terrestrial systems.

  • Ideally, you have supplementary knowledge and skills as a SETAC GLB Specialized Ecotoxicologist (m/f) or SETAC Europe Risk Assessor (m/f) and have basic skills and knowledge in the areas of GLP and/or ISO quality management.

  • You are familiar with the standard MS Office applications and are able to utilize your good German and English language skills effectively in your day-to-day work activities.

  • On a personal level, you are impressive for your customer-oriented working style and ability to achieve shared successes within the team.
