What you can expect
Within the group Knowledge Architecture & Innovation in our unit Digitalization in R&D, you will be responsible for exploring and developing new procedures to handle chemical and biological data in our knowledge systems using latest technologies and algorithms.
You will apply computer based methods for the representation, retrieval, and analysis of chemical information in knowledge applications in R&D.
You will apply and extend technologies to extract and integrate chemical entities, related property data, applications, and relationships from scientific documents and results from data analysis and simulation.
You will create new methods for representing, querying, and analyzing chemical entities and related data in scientific knowledge graphs.
You will be part of a highly motivated interdisciplinary team of experts and work in close collaboration with the R&D community.
What we expect
You have earned a degree in chemistry/cheminformatics or bioinformatics.
You possess experience in computer science as well as in methods and technologies for managing chemical entities in R&D knowledge applications.
You are familiar with methods for extracting chemical data from scientific documents, construction of scientific knowledge graphs and information retrieval.
You have sound experience with machine learning algorithms applied in chemistry.
You have excellent organizational and analytical skills and gained experience in agile projects. Your entrepreneurial drive supplements your goal-oriented working style and you stand out by collaborating effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
Preferably, you have sound programming skills in Python and/or Java using for to implement prototypic solutions on Neo4J.
