What you can expect
Become part of our Development Pharma Solutions unit and assume responsibility for tasks within the scope of developing new excipients for biologics (monoclonal antibodies and cell and gene therapy) and drug formulations.
You will manage a laboratory and plan product developments in the laboratory, as well as in pilot plant and production scales.
Furthermore, you will extend and consolidate the technical expertise by cooperating with universities, other companies and BASF units.
In addition, you will initiate and assess new project ideas in the field of biologics and are a member of global project teams.
You will create own patents and assess patents from third parties together with the patent department.
Beyond this role, you will also implement safety concepts and monitor the work being performed in the laboratory.
You will provide professional guidance to your team members and supervise both interns and PhD students.
What we expect
PhD in science, preferably in pharmacy or pharmaceutical technology
extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and on pharmaceutical excipients, specifically for the formulation of biologics
knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes and analytical methods for biologics
further IT knowledge is beneficial
very good German and English skills
