In the Advanced Materials & Systems Research Division, our multifaceted team works together to develop functional materials and systems for high-performance, innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers in various different industries. At the same time, we meet the legal and economic requirements.

What you can expect

At BASF's Competence Center Analytics you will as soon as possible be part of a dedicated and global team.

  • Your tasks include the development of methods for NMR structure elucidation or quantitative analysis of major and minor components.

  • You will lead projects in cooperation with research, marketing and production.

  • In cooperation with internal and external stakeholders you will work on different scientific projects.

  • You will lead a motivated and very well trained team consisting of chemical laboratory assistants and technicians.

  • Furthermore, you are also responsible for the supervision of registration relevant studies (GxP).

What we expect

  • completed university degree in chemistry (PhD)

  • experience in the field of analytical chemistry, with in-depth knowledge of NMR spectroscopy

  • ideally profound knowledge in organic chemistry or polymer chemistry as well as in project management

  • high degree of customer orientation and very good communication skills in German and English language

  • strong interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills

  • practical experience at the spectrometer as well as practice in the regulated area (GxP) advantageous
