What you can expect

Our Design Machinery Team is responsible for project planning as well as handling of machines and units, within the global plant engineering organization of BASF SE. The focus is on the entire value chain, from advanced planning to commissioning of plant and equipment components.

  • You will be responsible for the conception, planning, specification, sourcing, installation and commissioning support of drive systems in cooperation with other units and the machinery manufacturer for electrical drives/drive systems.

  • The systems reach from LV (Low voltage) of simple E drives and frequency converter to MV drives.

  • You will ensure the quality assurance and expediting at the manufacturer as well as the required documentation and processing of possible claims.

  • You will support in drafting of standards and design principles as well as contribute your maintenance experience.

  • Besides that, you will be responsible for the further development of the required special technical knowledge and production technologies in the working field.

  • You will monitor the market and conduct global audits for new suppliers.

What we expect

  • completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, drive system or electrical power engineering (electrical drives, variable frequency drives, grid connection)

  • several years of experiences in the lay-out and project execution of drives and their components and/or engineering of drives and drive systems (concept acquirement, specification, supply evaluation, planning principles)

  • alternatively, experience with maintenance or commissioning of electrical drive systems

  • knowledge of appropriate guidelines, machine control systems and their bus systems as well as protection systems

  • very good English language skills as well as good communication skills and empathy

  • teamspirit, flexibility, and readiness for travel activity
