What you can expect
The Senior Technology Manager of Battery Materials is a global position in the Global Technology Organization of the Catalyst Division that is primarily responsible for supporting key technologies within the Battery Materials Business Unit. To achieve this goal, the incumbent will work closely with key stakeholders within the business unit and R&D organization. In addition, this position serves as the primary interface to benchmark and facilitate the sharing and implementation of internal and external best practices as well as continuous scouting and evaluating of new technologies.
You serve as global focus point for the manufacturing technology of battery materials.
You will lead the implementation of the Technology Strategy incl. optimization of capacities and technology capabilities.
Within the OD you will support capex projects and develop and optimate technical concepts.
You will steer complex innovation projects and topics, manage resources and budgets and drive the realization of process improvements together with operations.
Externally you will search for new materials and technologies and analyze the potential and impact of the new materials or technologies on current BASF business.
What we expect
You have finished your studies in chemistry or chemistry engineering and have already gathered at least ten years of manufacturing/technology experience in batteries. Prior experience as a chemical process engineer is highly desirable.
In your previous activities, you gained technical expertise in the areas of precursor and high energy density cathode materials.
In the past you have already leaded complex projects and managed successfully cross functional teams.
You have exceptional communication skills in English and German including the ability to present to Senior Executives.
For economic, financial and feasibility studies for manufacturing you have a proven comprehension and ability.
