Project Engineer (1901094) – McIntyre, GA

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for and lead efforts on teams and projects. In this role, you will manage all phases of capital and expense projects and serve as the primary technical point of contact between the project and business unit partners. You will successfully complete assigned projects on schedule, within budget, while following BASF Corporation Engineering standards and procedures.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and yourplant/project engineering operations experience, you will executecapital projects for EVI sites up to $5M, with the goal of achievingproject objectives for functionality, cost and schedule.

  • Demonstratingyour ability to lead and influence others, you will lead the project teamswhich include Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Procurement andConstruction representatives.

  • Your strong fundamental knowledge ofEngineering and Science will be a valued asset as you developproject scopes, seek opportunitiesfor added value through application of Value Based Engineering, generateand/or obtain cost estimates, and prepare project objective memos (POM’s)to obtain necessary funding authorizations.

  • Yourproven organization skills will be vital as you lead project executionthat includes SAP set-up, completion of safety and technical reviews,procurement of materials and services, provision of constructionsupervision, support of equipment check-out and commissioning,facilitation of Pre-Startup Safety Review and project close-out.

  • Your deep commitment to maintaininga safe and productive workplace will be critical as you ensure compliancewith all BASF policies, procedures, and technical standards.

  • Asa results-oriented leader who can build strong working relationships, youwill collaborate with Operations personnel in troubleshooting problems andimplementing technology improvements.
