We are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join our Agricultural Products Division (APN), based in Research Triangle Park, NC.
Formula for Success
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for developing a production schedule to allow for optimal plant efficiency to meet customer requirements. You will be responsible for the coordination of raw material and packaging needs including establishing safety stocks, providing forecasts, and managing inventories. You will also monitor supply chain key performance indicators and facilitate actions to improve metrics and identify and lead supply chain optimization projects. You will have the opportunity to work with external suppliers to handle supply issues and improve supplier performance, as well as partner with team members to achieve outstanding inventory accuracy. Additionally. you will interact extensively with internal and external team members of various departments daily providing efficient and accurate supply chain activities
Formula for Success: You Will…
Leveraging your education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field and your experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Import Planning and/or Operations, you will plan, purchase, order and monitor / expedite delivery of raw materials and packaging components for contract manufacturing formulation and packaging sites. You will also rely on this knowledge and experience as you review production demands and plan purchase order requirements, monitor raw material and component orders and stock levels to ensure timely delivery to support production schedules.
Your SAP skills and experience will be critical for success in this role, as this is the key communication and planning tool for this position.
Your solid SAP skills will be essential as you manage SAP order processing of raw materials and packaging components for contract manufacturing operations and post receipts of raw materials and packaging for tollers without SAP connections.
Your ability to complete finite planning in SAP/APO to develop production schedules will allow for optimal plant efficiency.
Your robust analytical ability will be critical as you reconcile month end physical inventories against SAP entries, verify invoices for approval, and assist in controlling raw material/packaging material deliveries and finished raw production at third party formulation and packaging/refill sites.
Your strong computer skills, including MS Office, will aid you as you monitor and report actual and planned raw material and packaging component deliveries & status and create reports to track open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery dates to ensure communication of order and delivery status.
Demonstrating your knowledge of purchasing and receiving activities and inventory control operations, you will convert internal active ingredient and raw material requirements into purchase orders to global internal and external suppliers. You will also use this knowledge as you create and transmit purchase orders against established purchase agreements for raw material and packaging components.
Applying your experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programs, you will create stock transfer orders to move raw materials and packaging components between warehouse locations and/or toll sites to support production and create delivery notes for these stock transfers.
Showcasing your excellent organizational and collaborative abilities, you will expedite deliveries when required and confirm required logistics activities are being organized for all related shipments.
Your effective communication and interpersonal skills will serve you well as you confirm availability of required materials at the production point.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
Bachelor’s degree- Preferred
At least 3 years in a supply chain planner position or equivalent position.
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work as part of a team or individually
Must be knowledgeable of supply chain concepts
Must be knowledgeable of SAP/APO
Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel
