Regional Head of Supply Chain (1901419) – Parma, ID

Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to direct, develop and manage the regional Supply Chain team to ensure they meet the regional seed supply according to sales demand for BASF-Vegetable Seeds varieties in a timely, optimal and (cost) efficient manner with high customer satisfaction.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Manage, coach and steer the regional Supply Chain team – people development

  • Design, review and optimization of Standard Operating Procedures for Supply Chain and cross departmental - align with stakeholders

  • Attend Global Supply Chain leadership meetings

  • Have project involvement

  • Attend regular meetings with stakeholders, peers, local teams etc.

  • Be responsible for monthly reporting, KPI review and development


· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, Business Engineering, or Agronomics/Agricultural related field preferred or comparable work experience / thinking level.

· Five to ten years of seed industry knowledge

· Preferred minimum of two years’ experience in a managerial position

· In depth understanding of technologies and procedures used within the company (i.e. Production, Processing, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Finance and Sales).

· Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse range of personalities.

· Affinity with ERP-systems.

· Good understanding of global vegetable seed and commercial vegetable markets.

· Cooperative, flexible and willing to work in a team atmosphere.

· Should possess the following competencies: Leadership, Management, Organizing, Analyzing, Strategic thinking faculty.
