Planning Manager - (1900922)
Where the Chemistry Happens
The main purpose of this position is to manage the supply and demanding planning strategy for the Canadian Crop Protection business. The position is administratively responsible for three planners. The role is responsible for ensuring that a detailed plan for country specific finished goods support the APN business in terms of sales forecast, upsides and inventory targets. The ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with stakeholders of many functions and organizational levels will be critical to the success of this position.
Manage the Canadian Sales and Operations (S&OP) process by preparing for and conducting S&OP meetings as well as tracking and ensuring fulfillment of actions. This includes leading the Sales and Marketing Teams in developing sales forecast based on sales projections, inventory status, distribution inventory, new product launches, registrations, etc.
Manage the rough-cut planning process covering- 300 skus and a 36-month
horizon for formulation sires, tolling agreements while considering global
- Support the Regional S&OP process as required. Optimize formulation supply
planning through regional coordination of country demands to ensure on-time
finished goods supply in accordance with service level agreements while meeting
inventory targets and optimizing total cost of supply through efficient asset
- Define, lead and/or participate in project targeted to specific opportunities such
as AP Supply Chain initiatives.
- Partner with Sales and Operational Planning teams and Business Leadership to
develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize the business.
- Coach and develop staff to meeting ongoing and changing business dynamics.

Formula for Success
Business Degree or Agriculture Degree with a minimum of 8 years business experience in commercial functions and/or Demand and/or Supply Planning.
Demonstrated ability to lead meetings with diverse participants, direct reports and teams
Excellent organizational, communications, collaborative and interpersonal skills to foster respect, teamwork and problem solving with other internal functions, supply chains and external partners
Effective problem solving skills combined with strong analytical skills
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement interrelated, time bound plans
Solid understand of SAP and the APO modules within the system
