Where the Chemistry Happens

BASF is seeking a B2B Commercial Manager in the Market Management Group. The Market Management Group is responsible for coordinating and managing all B2B third party contracts in the North American Agricultural Products (AP) business and provides regional business units with support for any third-party agreements. This position requires close working relationship with AP global units and other Regional Business Units (RBUs) including legal, marketing, strategic account management, supply chain, and others as required.

Formula for Success

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Crop Protection North American business through collaborative workings with regional and local business marketing colleagues.

  • Through collaboration with local, regional, and as applicable global marketing as well as functional group representatives, develop business cases for the evaluation of potential business with third parties

  • Together with third party management lead, identify, develop and implement strategies for the negotiation of third party business.

  • Coordinate input of BASF functional units (eg. regulatory, manufacturing, R&D) in developing terms for business agreements that are favorable for BASF, as well as coordinate with legal and finance departments to insure alignment with best practices and legal requirements to support third party negotiations.

  • Maintain the life cycle of business agreements, including the assurance that appropriate BASF personnel are fulfilling their obligations per agreement terms, as well BASF takes full advantage of its opportunities afforded per the agreement terms.

  • Maintain professional working relationships with third party business counter-parts.
