Regional Strategic Marketing Manager (Seeds & Traits) (2001421) – Research Triangle Park, NC

Where the Chemistry Happens

  • These roles are positioned as a bridge between Global Strategic Marketing and Region Business Team. It i ncreases the level of support Global Strategic Marketing can provide to Regional specific Business topics; deepens communications across stakeholders

  • Using deep regional seed & trait market knowledge, act as consultation partner on development of long-term strategy, and interpret & implement approved global strategy within the region.

  • Provide direct support to Seed & Trait Regional Business teams for mid/short term responsibilities

  • Negotiate/maintain relationship with local/regional strategic partners

  • Coordinate within AP for the development of crop systems for that include Seed & Traits with crop protection and digital solutions.

  • Can be flexible and agile by adjusting priorities as crop businesses ebb and flow

Formula for Success

  • Bachelor’sDegreeis required ina LifeScienceorBusinessfield

  • Experience in a global or regional position with commercial seed and trait related experience required. Experience with crop protection in production agriculture a plus.

  • Experienced with at least one major North American row crop required.

  • 7-10years of relevantprofessional experience.

  • 3 plus years’progressive marketing experience, with demonstratedcompetency instrategicand analyticalthinking.

  • Marketingand or salesbackground,includingexperience withcontract basics and legal framework, forlicensing and developmentofcontractrelationships.

  • Willingand able to travel 20 - 25%of the time domestically.

  • Previous team management experience to include development, setting team direction, accountability.

  • Working technical and market/customer knowledge across disciplines and markets.

  • Experience interacting with customers & negotiation.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, excellence leadership skills, driving for results, persuasiveness, leads with impact.

  • Uses effective strategies to facilitate decision-making

  • Models a culture of innovation creates an environment that supports creativity and coaches people to spark innovation

  • Familiarity with information technology and its use to support business objectives and processes.

  • Cross cultural and cross-functional work experiences and ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary environments
