. Testing inoculants using serial dilution, bacterial enumeration, purity testing, sieve/bulk densities, pH analysis and moisture content to ensure the manufactured inoculants meet the required specifications
Testing raw and intermediate materials consumed in the production of inoculants using streak plates, pH analysis, moisture content determination and bacterial enumeration for conformance.
Monitoring and testing bacterial cultures using purity and streak plating, gram staining and spectrophotometry to ensure cultures meet required specifications for use in production
Daily lab activities/cleaning including but not limited to equipment calibrations, validations, glassware and media preparation
Quality Assurance Technicians are responsible for accurately calculating and recording QC data into spreadsheets or forms which are used to make decisions regarding conformance of inoculants produced in Saskatoon
Formula for Success:
· Degree in relevant science (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry)
· 2-plus years experience in a microbiological lab preferred years‘ experience
· Combination of Diploma in relevant field and 10-plus years relevant experience will be considered
· Solid computer skills : MS-Office, Internet
