Global Supply Chain Planner- 1802600 – Southfield or Battle Creek, MI
Where the Chemistry Happens
As a member of the Battery Materials (G-CCB) Supply Chain Team, this Global position reports to the Supply Chain Manager, Planning and is responsible for converting demands (forecasts, customer orders, internal orders) into production and deployment schedules which meet the needs of the customer in a timely and cost-effective fashion. In this role, you will ensure materials and capacities are available to support schedules for the Battle Creek, MI and Elyria, OH plants as well as 3rd party warehouses that support both plants. You will develop and maintain warehouse finished goods replenishment plans and schedules for warehouses in North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe. With understanding of the impacts to the whole supply chain on a global business unit level, you will identify opportunities improvement. In addition, you will convert demands into replenishment orders/supply plans on BASF supply points.
Formula for Success
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will collaborate across all regions (NA, EU, AP) and cross-functionally (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain) to develop plans to optimize BASF performance globally.
Leveraging your educational background in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology (or a related field), combined with your professional Supply Chain Management experience, you will lead regional- and global-level supply chain optimization and S&OP efforts within the Battery Materials portfolio of products, and serve as a key interface to the Marketing/Sales and Manufacturing groups.
Your superior analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts, will be a valued asset as you define and participate in projects targeted to specific opportunities in SCM.
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will identify, negotiate, and bring to resolution any demand/supply imbalances working with Marketing, Sales, Production, Customer Care, and Foreign Trade. Review and manage all schedule change requests.
With your high detail orientation and your proficiency in SAP, you will maintain SAP planning master data set-up to support Available-to-Promise and Product Allocations and use the Unconfirmed Sales Orders queue to identify and resolve availability issues.
As a role model, you will drive efforts to further customer relationships by collaborating and optimizing with key customers.
Your knowledge of production and global planning is essential and you will develop the production plan and detailed schedules for plants and 3rd party warehouses as well as develop KPIs to drive demand planning improvements.
Utilizing your business savviness, you will balance schedule stability with customer responsiveness and ensure there are no past dues in the Master Schedule.
