Control Systems Engineer (1802919) – Wyandotte, MI

Where the Chemistry Happens

BASF is seeking a professional like you to lead projects and implement strategies to introduce and apply new concepts and technologies that will have a substantial long-term business impact, or to address and resolve a unique, time-sensitive issues that could pose a significant business risk. You will provide subject matter expertise in multiple areas (e.g., discipline, process, technology), and consult across the organization to advance business goals.

Formula for Success

  • Interfacing with a variety of on- and off-site departments, you will apply your strong technical skills to help troubleshoot problems and execute programming modifications to de-bottleneck equipment that improve plant performance and reliability.

  • Your educational background (in an Engineering/Information Technology discipline), as well as your previous experience in a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment, will be an asset as you will manage the control system programming process.

  • Leveraging your solid knowledge of chemical unit and material handling operations, will lead the life cycle strategy and planning efforts for site control systems.

  • Successfully engaging across the business, you will communicate all plant changes and modifications to key stakeholders as part of the Management of Change process.
