Operations Support Technician – Wyandotte, Michigan (2100820)
An energetic, self-starter is being sought to join the Cellasto Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will perform the tasks required to receive and ship packaged raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner.
The Wyandotte Operations Support Technician is responsible for the following:
Loading and unloading box trailers.
Clear and effective communications with truck drivers.
Material movements throughout the plant with propane lift trucks.
Accurate reading of paperwork and labels, at a very high level of proficiency.
Use of hand-held scanners and computers to perform the necessary electronic functions in SAP, such as picking and packing, goods receipt and goods issue, and printing of labels.
Use of Excel interfaces for mass upload of material movements.
Organization of packaging containers and movement to designated areas as needed.
Supporting manufacturing operations with material movements in and out of the plant.
Continuous and effective communication with co-workers and shift supervisors.
Maintain housekeeping and 5S practices at an excellent level.
Perform equipment, safety and other required checks or inspections in an accurate, neat, and timely manner (e.g. plant safety check lists, area inspections, and mobile equipment inspections).
Properly handle all waste (non-hazardous) and associated paperwork according to regulations and BASF policies.
Active participation in Cellasto plant safety programs
Using required Personal Protective Equipment
The physical effort required to perform this position includes:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the shift
Bending and stooping for relabeling containers; repacking containers into smaller piece counts
Hard hat, ear protection, and safety glasses to be worn on the plant floor
Ability to work with exposure to weather elements (e.g. heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
Organization of containers on the interior and exterior of the plant.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For In You…
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years shipping & receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
2 years of automotive manufacturing experience required.
2 years of forklift experience required.
9 months experience using SAP required.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
Chemical related work experience in batch operations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Willingness and ability to adapt to change and cross train in all areas of the site as needed.
Competencies of accountability and ownership
Mechanically inclined and able to complete minor maintenance.
Ability to learn and perform a variety of tasks in support of plant operations including training and safety initiatives.
Coordination with people and teams within the site and beyond; good team player.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Accurately performs basic math.
